Elementary
(Full Day Kindergarten-6th Grade)

The Elementary classroom is based on the premise that children develop at various rates and learn best from a variety of hands-on materials that progress the concrete to the abstract.  Through the three freedoms- the freedom of movement, the freedom of repetition, and the freedom of choice, children learn to organize, give meaning to their experiences, and take responsibility for their learning.  The teachers serve as facilitators, resources, and role models while preparing and maintaining an environment where children can safely explore their abilities.  Classes with specialist teachers include daily Spanish and music instruction.
